Community Enrichment Is Par for the Course at CPP

July 27, 2021

It was a busy spring for CPP, one loaded with acquisitions, construction and our favorite activity – giving back to the communities we serve.

Our commitment to enriching the lives of some of the nation’s most vulnerable populations is a big part of the “Community” in our name, but it doesn’t stop there. We believe in becoming a part of those communities as well – and in giving back whenever we can.

We recently sponsored and participated in a trio of golf tournaments. First, in Richmond, Va., CPP’s Eastern Division supported the Richmond Police Athletic League annual golf fundraiser. The Richmond PAL is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the city’s youths through recreational activities, education and mentorship.

We’ve been transforming the community once known as Midlothian Village into The Belt Atlantic. A major part of this development has revolved around curbing crime in the area – an effort for which CPP has already been nationally recognized – but it would have been impossible without the close cooperation of the Richmond Police Department. We were honored to support our ally in bettering the Richmond community.

Meanwhile in California, we sponsored and participated in the Project Access Annual Golf Tournament at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine. Uncharacteristically, there was a heavy rainfall the day of the tournament, but the storm wasn’t enough to wash away the $105,000 raised for the nonprofit. Project Access aims to be the leading provider of onsite health, education and employment services for low-income families, children and seniors.

Also in Irvine, we participated in the Boys & Girls Club of Central Orange Coast’s annual golf tournament as a scholarship sponsor. This wonderful group serves 8,000 youths in Orange County, home to our corporate headquarters, with a mix of education, services and activities that promote a positive and healthy development.

We still had energy to burn after 54 holes of golf, so we ran it off at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Front Royal, Va. Across the nation, dedicated people join the Relay to remember loved ones they’ve lost, celebrate survivors and continue the fight against cancer. Front Royal is home to CPP’s new Royal Arms Apartments, and we couldn’t ask for a better way to join hands with our new neighbors.

Busy as it’s been, CPP has no plans of slowing down. Communities are stronger together, and we’re dedicated to forging bonds with great local causes to further the quality of life for those living in our developments.

The return on caring is infinite.

We transform communities with solutions that leave an indelible mark on the lives of people. Our care creates what matters most - a place to call home.
