President

As President of Community Preservation Partners (CPP), Seth Gellis is a dynamic leader who has earned a reputation as a driving force in affordable housing. With a deep commitment to improving communities, Seth is a cornerstone of CPP, playing an instrumental role in the development and preservation of multifamily, senior living, mixed-use, and mixed-income housing projects.

During his tenure at CPP, he spearheaded the launch of CPP’s East Coast division in 2018, a move that significantly elevated the organization’s national profile. Under his leadership, CPP has invested more than $3 billion in affordable housing initiatives, directly enhancing the lives of thousands of families, seniors, and individuals across the country.

As President, Seth skillfully navigates the complexities of affordable housing regulations, using his expertise to foster collaboration among a diverse group of stakeholders, including community leaders, residents, developers, and investors. His ability to craft innovative solutions while adhering to intricate regulatory frameworks is key to CPP’s ongoing success.

A recognized thought leader, Seth is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences and an active participant in advocacy efforts for affordable housing. He has served on numerous boards and organizations dedicated to the preservation and development of affordable housing. He is a past board member of the California Affordable Housing Development Association (CAHDA) and the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH), and currently serves as Vice President of the board for the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA).

Seth holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside, a Master of Business Administration from Drexel University, and is a licensed real estate broker in California and Virginia.
